FAQ
| Question | I have lived in the Isle of Man now for two years and I hold a Jersey passport where I lived for twenty years although I was born in England . Can I become a permanant resident in Spain ? My daughter was born in Jersry and has a Jersey passport. |
| Answer | Because the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not full members of the European Union (formerly the European Community) people who derive their British citizenship through a connection with the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man do not have an automatic right to settle and work in EU countries, unless they have a connection with the United Kingdom through a parent or a grandparent or if they have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 5 years.
